Responsibilities include:

Provide contract administration support, including ensuring appropriate signing authority, maintaining contract records and manage contract processes;

Liaise with outside counsel and/or legal representatives of contracting entities to negotiate and resolve contract terms, obligations and provisions;

Provide administrative support on broad range of risk management matters, including review and indexing of insurance certificates and policies, tracking of policy payments and assisting with various policy renewal relating items;

Review and proofread various agreements and documents for accuracy and identifying issues for review and decision by in-house attorney;

Preparing and tracking of corporate approvals, including minutes, and requests for corporate documentation; and

Attend to state and federal regulatory and/or licensing matters.

Perform other duties as required.

Educational Requirements:

At least two years of college study required;

Bachelor's degree and legal assistant certificate preferred.

Minimum Experience:

3 years of relevant experience and computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft programs required.

Experience as corporate in-house legal assistant or in big law firm strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

Skills:

Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong capabilities in the following:

  • Drafting, revising, and interpreting with Marketing all client and distribution partner agreements
  • Reviewing, drafting, negotiating all other major agreements including merchandise vendor contracts, NDAs, consulting, real estate lease, etc.
  • Managing consumer affairs matters, with particular emphasis on FTC rule and regulation compliance, including but not limited to the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the national Do Not Call Registry, Regulation E and the Can Spam Act

  • Overseeing all litigation and pending claims
